Welcome to the FAST-FASHION-MINDFUCK-BLOG foreword!

A short introduction for new readers: This blog is the newsletter of active living that stimulates the exchange on the most important and topical issues at the same time as the book that is in progress. I would like to invite you to follow me and to participate in the integral development of FAST-FASHION-MINDFUCK.

Foreword
We love FASHION… the phenomenon of clothing and its deep-rooted cultural and individual expression of everything from social status quo, age and gender to business rank or religious expression.

The aim is to raise awareness of the connections between consumers and the textile chain (which is a shorthand way of describing the entire production network). With this blog, everyone can get a basic idea of what exactly is involved in everyday clothing.

This information is for everyone interested in fashion, but especially for the young consumer group. With this blog, I want to give you the opportunity to see which industrial network you are supporting. And in which cycle of need and demand you are growing unconsciously. How to become a useful consumer: I recommend these topics and their discussion to all interested parties: Climate protection; Social fields like fair trade and third world countries; Environmental protection; «Controlled organic animal husbandry & Controlled organic cultivation»; ODS; and other associations working for the protection of nature and the environment; as well as to all those who in any way wish to make a career in this big textile chain.

Knowledge is the key to opening the chest of possibilities.

I draw on some 20 years of accumulated professional experience. The questions of customers and the impulse of my own conscience and moral point of view, of my own sad realisation from the various fast-fashion consultations as well as from the growing and disturbing number of fast-fashion consumers.

The main part of the blog is the textile chain par excellence. I admit that it is not easy to explain all the technical terms and formulas in a simple way, without losing their meaning.
However, I hope to do so.
And as there are so many important connections in the surrounding textile topics, I have taken the trouble to explain them, at least briefly.
Whoever bravely studies this as a non-specialist will already have prepared a small part of it for an easier entry into the course (if desired).
For all those who want to make it easier: I have done my best. Please don’t give up. I have written a short summary behind each chapter. If you still find it too technical, read it according to the ordered topics.

In any case, thank you for reading it and I hope you find it useful.
